The journal is currently produced by the Vice Chancellery, University of the West Indies. Vice Chancellor Emeritus Professor Rex Nettleford, Cultural Analyst, Artistic Director, was Editor of CQ for 40 of the 60 years of the journal’s existence, until his death in 2010. The journal receives University funding for salaries, accommodation and overheads. The production of the journal is self-sustaining, with subscriptions providing financing for the journal and other occasional publications (such as monographs containing reprints of unavailable but popular articles).
