Chasqui is published twice a year. The current Editor is Cynthia Margarita Tompkins, Professor of Spanish at Arizona State University, where she offers courses on contemporary Latin American film, literature, and theory. In addition to her single authored Affectual Erasure: Representation of Indigenous Peoples in Argentine Cinema 1917-2015 [New York: SUNY Press, 2018, 357 pp]; Experimental Latin American Cinema: History and Aesthetics (U of Texas P, 2013, 294 pp), and Latin American Postmodernisms: Women Writers and Experimentation (UP of Florida: Gainesville, Florida, 2006, 226 pages) Tompkins has co-authored a number of books on Latin America, including translations. Her work on Latin American Film, Women Writers, Feminism and Cultural Production has appeared in the most respected refereed journals.
