The Minnesota Historical Society Press is the largest publisher of its kind in America and the oldest publisher in the state. Currently, the press publishes about thirty books per year on the history, culture, and peoples of the Upper Midwest. Its national trade imprint is Borealis Books. In addition to its scholarly and trade book programs, the Press also publishes Minnesota History, a peer-reviewed journal.
