Abstract

The appearance of the bryozoan species Hallopora tolli Bassler in eastern Gaspé is important in that it not only emphasizes the great extent of the Middle Ordovician seas in North America but it also serves to corroborate the current opinion that the advance of these marine waters was from the north.
