The mask is not considered as an object but a practice: the mask lives in the empty and dynamic space shaped by the action of dressing and undressing. Starting from this oscillating space the author goes beyond the opposition between mask and face, what is hidden and manifest, reality and fiction. Masking is a construction/deconstruction technology of identity, a symbolic and strategic practice of transformation.
