A study of feeding behavior and food habits of the Sonoran mud turtle (Kinosternon sonoriense) was conducted in central Arizona. Turtles were examined from 4 localities. The results showed that Kinosternon sonoriense was basically a carnivorous, opportunistic feeder, with a shift to omnivorous feeding habits in streams with a depauperate benthic fauna.
