Abstract

Bei der Beschreibung von Idiomysis inermis durch Tattersall (1922) lag nur ein einziges Männchen vor. Schwärme von Männchen und Weibchen sind in Moreton Bay, Queensland, in Vergesellschaftung mit der Seeanemone Stoichactis haddoni (Saville-Kent) gefunden worden. Mit Hilfe dieses Materials ist es möglich, Tattersalls Beschreibung des Männchens zu bestätigen und die Beschreibung des Weibchens nachzuliefern. Es wird ein Vergleich mit I. tsurnamali Bacescu, dem alleinigen anderen Vertreter der Gattung, durchgeführt.
