Abstract

Le premier stade zoé d'Heloecius cordiformis (H. Milne Edwards, 1837) est décrit et figuré. D'après ses caractères larvaires, il est difficile d'inclure cette espèce dans l'une des sous-familles actuellement considérées comme formant la famille des Ocypodidae. Ceci vient à l'appui de la suggestion de Türkay (1983), fondée sur les caractères de l'adulte, suivant laquelle Heloecius cordiformis devrait être exclu de la sous-famille des Ocypodinae et placé dans celle des Heloeciinae.
