Abstract

A new ingolfiellid amphipod, Ingolfiella inermis n. sp. is described from a coral sandy beach of Okinawa, southern Japan. The new species differs from its congeners in the following characters: head, pereionites, pleonites, and urosomites without dorsal setae; fleshy and moderately long telson; broad carpus of gnathopod 2 with some minute teeth and long palmar angle spine; dactyli of gnathopods 1 and 2 each with 4 teeth; pereiopod 7 longer than the other pereiopods; uropod 1 longer than uropod 2; outer ramus of uropod 1 longer than 1/2 inner ramus. /// Un nouvel amphipode Ingolfiellidae, Ingolfiella inermis n. sp. est décrit d'une plage de sable coralliaire d'Okinawa, dans le sud du Japon. La nouvelle espèce diffère de ses congénères par les caractères suivants: la tête, les péréionites, les pléonites et les urosomites sans soies dorsales; le telson épais et modérément long, le large carpe du deuxième gnathopode avec quelques petites dents et une longue épine palmaire angulaire; les dactyles des premiers et deuxièmes gnathopodes avec chacun 4 dents; le septième péréiopode plus long que les autres péréiopodes; le premier uropode plus long que le deuxième; la rame externe du premier uropode plus long que la moitié de la rame interne.
