Abstract

/// Mainly under the scope of the 9 July 2001 forestry law, France's forest policy overlooks the importance of small, private woodland holdings in rural development strategies. Left in their owners' hands, these small woodlands could be managed in various ways so as to maintain biodiversity and meet the requirements of sustainable development.
