Abstract

Contained herein is a survey of recent developments in numerical methods for solving the nonlinear equations of fluid mechanics. Strictly numerical methods for integrating these nonlinear models for fluid flow arise from three general formulations: (a) stream function and vorticity, (b) primitive variables, (c) vector potential. An additional section discusses some possible alternatives.
