The use of Wilm's method (Wilm 1946) for the collection and statistical treatment of climatic data is discussed with reference to Wilm's original data and throughfall data collected in a sessile oakwood. A modification of this technique is suggested for use when the regression line for the data passes through the origin. Details of the statistical technique and methods of computation of results are included.
