Abstract

Michał Kleofas Ogiński (1765—1833) was one of the outstanding figures of late 18th century Poland. An accomplished diplomat, musician and composer, he was the first author of many Polish revolutionary songs and marches As a diplomat, he was a frequent visitor to the court at St. Petersburg and there, his compositions, particularly his 17 polonaises, were very popular. This article discusses the holdings of the Russian State Library of the Russian imprints of Ogiński's works. September 2005 marks the 240th anniversary of Ogiński's birth. Michał Kleofas Ogiński (1765—1833) fut l'une des personnalités dominantes en Pologne, à la fin du dix-huitième siècle. Diplomate accompli, musicien et compositeur il fut le premier auteur de nombreuses chansons et marches révolutionnaires polonaises. En sa qualité de diplomate, il fit de fréquents séjours à la cour de Saint-Pétersbourg où ses compositions, en particulier ses 17 polonaises, étaient très populaires. L'article présente les collections de la Bibliothèque d'état de Russie en éditions russes d'œuvres d'Ogiński. Septembre 2005 marque le 240e anniversaire de la naissance d'Ogiński. Michał Kleofas Ogiński (1765—1833) war eine der herausragenden Persönlichkeiten des späten 18. Jahrhunderts in Polen. Er war ein tüchtiger Diplomat, Musiker und Komponist und erster Autor vieler polnischer revolutionärer Lieder und Märsche. Als Diplomat war er häufig Gast am St. Petersburger Hof, wo seine Kompositionen, vor allem seine 17 Polonaisen, sehr populär waren. Dieser Artikel beschäftigt sich mit den russischen Drucken der Werke Ogińskis aus den Sammlungen der russischen Staatsbibliothek. Im September 2005 wurde der 240. Geburtstag von Ogiński begangen.
