Abstract

A manometric technique for measuring photosynthesis of detached leaves of Lolium is described. Results are compared with infra-red gas analysis data and 14CO2 assimilation by attached leaves from similar plant material. All three methods gave similar comparative estimates of apparent photosynthesis.
