The effects of population density on height selection in spring durum wheat Triticum turgidum L. var durum) were evaluated in 1978 and 1979 at the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station. Height selection using a simulated segregating population was equally effective at 21.5 and 43 plants/m2 densitites.
