A new species of filarioid nematode, Aproctella nuda, is described from the Chimney Swift, (Chaetura pelagica). It differs from A. stoddardi in size, nature of the cuticula, presence of an oral ring and in possessing dissimilar spicules. The genus Aproctella is emended to include A. nuda.
