Abstract

Se presenta la problemática referida al rol de los recursos vegetales dentro de los lapsos de contacto hispano indígena en el norte de la provincia de Mendoza. Se indaga acerca del potencial informativo de los restos arqueobotánicos y en particular los carpológicos, recuperados en excavaciones del área fundacional de Mendoza para elaborar hipótesis referidas al cambio cultural entre las poblaciones nativas en el proceso de conquista y colonización producido durante el siglo XVI. The problem presented in this paper referred to the role of the vegetable resources in the lapses of indigenous-hispanic contact in the north of the county of Mendoza. It investigates about the informative potential of the archeobotanics remains and in particular the carpologic ones, recovered in excavations of the foundational area of Mendoza city to elaborate hypothesis referred to the cultural change among the native populations in the conquest process and colonization taken place during the XVI century.
