Abstract

Compounds that are active in the soybean bioassay and which cochromatograph with Z and its derivatives were detected in the mature leaves of Ginkgo biloba, Podocar pus henkelii, Welwitschia mirabilis, and Encephalartos natalensis. While 2iP was not found in the leaves of the first two species, it appears to be present in the latter two plants.
