## Abstract

Extended tables of critical values for a level of significance α ≤ 0.05 are provided for the variance and likelihood tests for homogeneity, goodness of fit $\chi ^{2}$ and likelihood tests, and deviation in the zero frequency for samples from a Poisson distribution. A table of critical values for the variance test of homogeneity of samples from truncated Poisson distribution is also given. For the binomial population, the variance and likelihood tests for homogeneity have been given and tables of critical values worked out, when there are three independent samples of the same size. Illustrations have been given explaining the use of the various tables.
