This paper presents the results of a survey conducted in 21 schools of Mysore City during 1955-56 to obtain data on growth rate of Indian children between 3-16 years. Observations were made (3747) on height and weight of both boys and girls separately on a cross-sectional and semi-longitudinal basis. Age estimation by dentition is also discussed.
