Abstract

Gigantolaelaps aitkeni n. sp. is described from San Juan Nepomuceno, Dept. Bolivar, Colombia, from Oryzomys laticeps. Gigantolaelaps striatus n. sp. is described from Cuzco, Hacienda Cadena, Marcapata, Peru, from Oryzomys lepidus. A key to the females of the genus is provided along with host and locality records for the two new species.
