The effect of progestagen-PMS treatment on the reproductive performance of autumn-born ewe lambs was investigated. Pessaries were retained by 25 of the 28 animals treated and 96% of those showed oestrus. A minority (28.6%) of oestrous lambs did not ovulate. All ova recovered were fertilised but only 41.7% of animals were pregnant 30 days post-mating.
