A catalogue of radiocarbon dates from a series of fulachta fiadh dated recently in Groningen, the Netherlands, together with the results from previously dated fulachta fiadh is presented. The general use, function and context of fulachta fiadh are discussed together with dates from similar monuments in Britain. Reference is also made to the use of stone for heating purposes in other countries at various times.
