Description: The Cambro-Briton was a short-lived publication from the nineteenth century. The term "Cambro-Briton" signifies an inhabitant of Wales. The journal contains articles relating to the history and antiquity of Cambria (i.e. Wales), especially those which record facts of an early date. It includes historical material (biographical sketches and memoirs), literature (short stories and poetry) and miscellanea, including proverbs, songs and Pennillion songs (a particularly Welsh tradition of song accompanied by the harp). Some of the articles of The Cambro-Briton are written in Welsh-Gaelic. This periodical would be of interest to any scholars of Welsh history, literature or language.
