Abstract

Fungal-algal contact in the lichen Chiodecton sanguineum (Sw.) Vain is limited to wall-to-wall contact. Crystals of lichen substances occur as deposits on the fungal cell walls. The alga has dictyosomes and the fungus has concentric bodies.
