Genera of hookworms with articulated buccal capsules are reviewed. Arthrocephalinae subfam. n. is proposed in Ancylostomidae to include Arthrocephalus Ortlepp, 1925; Arthrostoma Cameron, 1927; and Placoconus Webster, 1956. Arthrostomoides Yamaguti, 1961 is suppressed as a synonym of Arthrostoma. Arthrostoma vampira sp. n. is described from specimens from a Philippine skunk, Mydaus marchei, on Palawan, Philippine Islands. Arthrostoma longespiculum (Maplestone, 1931) comb. n. is discussed, and A. cheni Kou, 1958 is redescribed. Keys to the genera in Arthrocephalinae and the species in Arthrostoma are included.
