Abstract

Social scientists have tended to dismiss or neglect the theories of Vilfredo Pareto. But Warren J. Samuels' recent study of Pareto on Policy is the chief of several signs of renewed interest in Pareto's integrative theory of social systems. Samuels' work is found to be a very important step toward the reformulation of an economically-relevant and comprehensive theory of economic policy in the Paretian tradition.
