Abstract

The colloidal organic carbon component (effective spherical diameter 21-450 nm) of running waters in Canada and New Zealand was determined by ultracentrifugation. The proportion in Canadian waters varied from 29.2-52.6% of the organic carbon <450 nm and the equivalent figures for New Zealand were 0-20.6%. /// Коллоидальный компонент органического углерода (эддективный сферический диаметр 21-450 нм) в текучих водах Канады и Новой Зеландии определяли с помощью ультрацентрифуги. Его содержание в водах Канады колебалось в пределах 29,2-52,6% органического С с диаметром <450 нм, а в Новой Зеландии - 0-20,6%.
