Abstract

The new monotypic genus Cyphellocalathus is described with the type species C. cecropiae. The similarities and differences among C. cecropiae, Lachnella australis, Chaetocalathus craterellus, C. liliputanus, Crinipellis stipitaria and Rectipilus davidii are discussed. The single species of Cyphellocalathus differs from all currently known cyphellaceous taxa in possessing dextrinoid metuloids in the hymenium.
