Abstract

Catatrama, a new genus in the Tricholomataceae, is described from Costa Rica. Its taxonomic position and its similarity to other genera are discussed. The combination of echinulate, cyanophilic and inamyloid basidiospores, subfree lamellae, and bilateral hymenophoral trama characterize this new genus and species.
