A year-long study of the reproductive cycle of Ameiva ameiva petersii Cope ♀ ♀ was conducted in Amazonian Ecuador. Examination of ovarian and oviducal eggs revealed that egg laying is seasonal, occurring from late May to early December. Hatchlings were found from March through April and from November through December.
