Scilla dedea (2n=18) and S. pruinosa (2n=36) from S Turkey are described from living plant material as species new to science and illustrated; in addition, a full description of S. pleiophylla is given. The bulbs of all three species consist of 4-5 years old imbricate bulb leaves. The pruinose seed coating in S. pruinosa is a new character within the genus Scilla s.l.
