The egg of Diabrotica lemniscata LeConte is illustrated with a scanning electron micrograph, along with detail micrographs of the secondary sculpturing of nine taxa of Diabroticites. Comparison of the chorions of eggs revealed a phenocline in the secondary sculpturing in the virgifera species group of Diabrotica.
