Based on structural features of adults, Pasimachus cuestai, new species (type locality: Tepexco, Puebla, México), is described and illustrated with a drawing of the habitus in dorsal aspect. The species is postulated to be the sister species of Pasimachus aurocinctus Chaudoir.
