A new species of Limnichidae, Byrrhinus ferax Wooldridge, is described from the Philippine Islands and from Borneo. This species is distinguished from other limnichids from the Philippines and from Borneo by the finely punctate pronotum, the impressed sutural row of elytral punctures, and by the irregularly arranged coarse, deep punctures on the elytral discs.
