Described from Brazil are: Ischionodonta viridinigra, new species, from Espirito Santo, I. paraibensis, new species, from Paraíba and I. earina, new species, from Pará. Ischionodonta brasiliensis (Chevrolat), the type species of the genus, is redescribed based on the holotype. A key to the metallic green species of Ischionodonta Chevrolat is added.
