Abstract

/// The article offers an innovative methodology using non patriarchal coordinates—an interpretation that differs qualitatively from most of the current views of Popol Vuh. A cartography is traced that reveals the process of "veneration to exploitation" from the first goddesses, semigoddesses, semi-women to women. That process reflects the values and shades of meaning that are analogous to the historical process of woman's economic-social degradation.
