Several series of scans at Hβ and β4686 in the spectrum of X Per were obtained with the Image Isocon camera. These have been analyzed (1) for changes on the 13.9-minute period observed in 3U 0352 + 30; (2) for short-period variations over 2 Å intervals in the range 1 minute to ∼ 20 minutes; (3) for longer-term changes. Changes in the 13.9-minute period are seen at the 1% level over ∼ 2 Å in Hβ and λ4686, which are marginally significant. Other changes are seen and discussed.
