Abstract

UBVRI data are presented for three stars in reflection nebulae near the Herbig-Haro objects recently discovered in the Gum nebula. The likely distance to all three stars as well as the Herbig-Haro objects, and a portion of the Gum nebula is 400 pc. One of the Ha-emission stars in this region appears to be variable on a short time scale.
