Abstract

After denouncing our culture's tendency to refuse or to impoverish the dimension of the everyday , the author demonstrates that the crisis in totalizing and Ideologi cal perspectives favors passage from a logic of waiting for final redemption to a logic of attention to the present. The risk of the everyday is precisely linked to the fact that the present reveals the contradictory and « unsolvable » nature of the existential situation.
