Abstract

On voudrait interroger ici le propos de Cicerón, selon lequel l'argument est « rationem quae dubiae faciat fidem », afin d'étudier le lien particulier qui est établi entre la preuve et la croyance, sans réduire celle-ci à un effet psychologique, celle-là à une raison que l'on serait obligé d'accepter. Cicero argues that « rationem quae dubiae faciat fidem » . This assumption is to be analysed in order to understand the specific link established between proof and belief, without reducing the later to a psychological effect nor the former to any kind of necessity.
