The genus Coleus in Sri Lanka is critically reviewed. Its delimitation from Plectranthus is considered and upheld for the Sri Lankan species. 11 species and 2 varieties are recognized, including two new species C. grandis and C. kanneliyensis. A key to the species and descriptions of new taxa are provided and the combination Coleus zeylanicus made.
