Abstract

Tuberculation and corrosion from within have always caused problems for water mains, which result in a drastic reduction of main capacity. Replacing the main is a definite solution, but if cleaning and lining can be achieved at a lower cost and less inconvenience, then perhaps cleaning and lining is the better solution to the problem.
