Abstract

Though many rural inhabitants of Latin America now have access to safe water, millions remain unserved, and increasing populations place added stress on existing systems. Improvements are still greatly needed in administration and financing of water and sanitation projects and for extensive training programs for paraprofessional rural water technicians.
