Abstract

Sankowskya, a new genus of subtribe Dissiliariinae in the Euphorbiaceae is described. The genus is monotypic with the highly endangered S. stipularis sp. nov. endemic to the 'Wet Tropics' of north-east Queensland. Sankowskya is compared to other genera in the Dissiliarinae and a key to genera in the subtribe is provided.
