Abstract

Plant species diversity and dominance patterns were studied in a tropical grassland comunity at Berhampur, India during 1977-1978. Diversity (- Σpi lnpi) and dominance $[\Sigma (ni/N)^{2}]$ indices were calculated and compared with basic data as the number of individuals versus basic data as biomass units.
