Abstract

The paper concerns itself with an analysis of systems of kinship and affinity among the Paraja, a hill tribe hitherto unexplored anthropologically. The analysis is primarily focussed on the emic categories of kinship and affinity and the empirical reality of experience and behaviour which do not reinforce each other.
