Abstract

The Leduc-Strathcona Health Unit has developed a screening examination routine based on rather sophisticated procedures and experience with preschool and school problems over the years. It is submitted that health units face a valid challenge to detect actual and potential handicaps in the preschool years. The routine is reviewed in the belief that it may be of interest to readers and in the hope that other health units will likewise share their experience in the Journal.
