Abstract

We obtained, by spore crossing, some strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae Hansen strongly inhibiting the growth of some fungi and of yeasts of the same species. The activity is greater in synthetic media than in rich media. The toxicity is related to the presence in the cultural fluids of these strains of three compounds having the same activity. Abbiamo ottenuto, per incrocio fra spore, alcuni ceppi di Saccharomyces cerevisiae Hansen dotati di una forte attività inibitrice nei confronti di alcuni funghi fitopatogeni e di lieviti della stessa specie. L'attività è maggiore nei mezzi sintetici che non nei mezzi ricchi. La tossicità è da attribuire alla presenza nei liquidi culturali di questi ceppi di tre composti ugualmente attivi. Nous avons obtenu, par croisement de spores, quelques souches de Saccharomyces cerevisiae Hansen douées d'une forte activité antifongique. La sensibilité des champignons est plus accentué dans les milieux synthétiques que dans les milieux complexes. L'activité antifongique de ces souches est liée à la sécrétion de trois produits tous égalmemt toxiques.
