Abstract

A gilded leaden plaquette from the Manz collection at Stuttgart is recognized here as the work of Paulus van Vianen of about 1600. The model for this was a plaquette which itself was a copy of a relief by Jacob Corn. Cobaert, who in his turn followed Guglielmo della Porta.
